The Atélope Jaunâtre (Atelopus flavescens) is a species of toad in the Bufonidae family. It is endemic to French Guiana. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and rivers.
This genus has been greatly affected by amphibian declines, and many species are now considered endangered, while others already are extinct. The cause of these declines primarily appears to be the chytrid fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis.
