TEMMINCK’S GROUND PANGOLIN (Manis temmincki)
Lives: East to Southern Africa
Habitat: Temperate forest, open plains, tropical forest
Size: 50-60cm (Length), 15-18kg (Weight)
Status: Lower risk
How to spot: Covered in dark or yellow-brown overlapping scales.  Similar body shape to armadillos and anteaters. Has a very long tongue  (25cm).
Diet: Ants, termites
Uses claws to tear open termite mounds and ant nests. Pangolins  travel and live individually. Closest relative is the Chinese pangolin.
