TEMMINCK’S GROUND PANGOLIN (Manis temmincki)
Lives: East to Southern Africa
Habitat: Temperate forest, open plains, tropical forest
Size: 50-60cm (Length), 15-18kg (Weight)
Status: Lower risk
How to spot: Covered in dark or yellow-brown overlapping scales. Similar body shape to armadillos and anteaters. Has a very long tongue (25cm).

Uses claws to tear open termite mounds and ant nests. Pangolins travel and live individually. Closest relative is the Chinese pangolin.
This is my new favorite animal. It’s called a Pangolin.
