Lady bugs congregate in the fall when the weather cools, and find a warm place to hibernate…though this looks like a poor choice. :)

• Ladybugs are also called Lady beetles or Ladybirds
• All ladybugs are born black

• Ladybugs chew from side to side

• It only takes the larvae, or baby ladybug, about one week to grow into an adult
• Ladybugs eat aphids
• Ladybugs hibernate for the winter
• Ladybugs are commonly known to be red with black spots, but they can also be found as orange with black spots or black with red spots
• ladybug beats its wings 85 times a second when it flies
• If you squeeze a ladybug it will bite you, but the bite won’t hurt
